Sheltering the Voiceless
Sadbhavna Dog Shelter was founded under the compassionate leadership of a humanitarian visionary, who initiated this heartfelt mission after witnessing the plight of abandoned, injured, and disabled street dogs in and around Rajkot. What started as a small effort has grown into a full-fledged shelter spanning 21,000 sq. ft., offering love, care, and treatment to dogs who had no one else to turn to.
Anyone who looks at animals like cows, dogs, cats, and birds with compassion is truly wise.
With this noble intention, in 2011, a vast “Dog Shelter” was established. Today, it is home to around 110 dogs. These dogs were once roaming in streets, societies, and slum areas. Some were abandoned or became disabled, while others were suffering from serious illnesses such as cancer, paralysis, or rabies, and some had even lost their eyesight.
All such dogs have found shelter and support at this Animal Shelter. Along with proper medical treatment and care, continuous efforts are being made to ensure that the rest of their lives are lived with dignity, comfort, and happiness not merely survival, but a life worth living.
